Ecofest goes to Two days in 2025

Ecofest is absolutely thrilled to announce that starting in 2025, the festival will be expanded to a phenomenal two-day event! The overwhelming excitement and support from our festival attendees has been the key factor in making this incredible decision. We are genuinely hoping that having the festival spread over two days will create a more laid-back and enjoyable experience for everyone. With this extended duration, you'll have ample opportunities to plan out your festival experience, ensuring that you don't miss out on any of the amazing exhibitors, presenters, workshops, or delectable local cuisine, all while unwinding to the fantastic sounds of our talented performers. Get ready for an unforgettable two days of Ecofest magic!

We aim to REthink our REsources and inspire REmarkable changes towards sustainability. Beyond the usual REcycling, REusing, and REfusing, let's REdiscover innovative ways to reinvent REsources for a more REsilient community. Follow us on social media as we share ideas and showcase numerous "Random Acts of Green" leading up to the festival.

Ecofest 2024 was a huge success.

ecofest 2024  returned to Camp Clayton, Ulverstone on Saturday April 6th to celebrate all things sustainability at North-West Tasmania's biggest sustainability festival

Festival goers feasted on delicious food, browsed the many exhibits and information stalls, participated in workshops. Eco kids  educate and inspired the kids on the many Ecokids activities.

Hannah Moloney, author of Good Life Permaculture and resident permaculture guru on ABC's Gardening Australia  joined us at this year's festival.  She was be keen to share her concept of radical homemaking and her message of living a meaningful and abundant life to the North West Coast.

NW ecofest is an initiative of the North West Environment Centre (NWEC) - a not-for-profit organization which aims to inspire a new perspective on our relationship with the environment and each other.

Electric Vehicle Test-Drives

The Tasmanian branch of the Australian Electric Vehicle Association returned to North West ecofest with their Electrikhana roadshow, providing a short test-drive or ride in a range of electric vehicles (EVs) on site at the festival. The opportunity to experience the ride and chat with passionate EV owners was invaluable for those considering owning an EV in the future.
